Colorado Buffaloes of Ireland

The first quarter was wild, with both teams scuffling and scoring defensive touchdowns. With a field goal, CSU appeared to be the first to score, but a penalty by the Buffs gave the Rams a first down. Two plays later, the Buffs' Shilo Sanders taken out Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi and returned it 80 yards for a score. Only three plays later, the Rams scored on a stunt play, with collector Conservative Horton hitting tight end Dallin Holker for a 25-yard score pass. Three plays from that point forward, CU's Travis Tracker gotten a pass from Shedeur Sanders, yet bobbled. The Rams' Ron Hardge III gathered up the mishandle and returned it 45 yards for a 14-7 CSU lead. The Buffs addressed two or three minutes some other time when Sanders tossed a dart to Xavier Weaver for a 24-yard score. CSU had eight punishments for 88 yards in the quarter, while the Buffs had three for 25 and that did exclude balancing unsportsmanlike lead punishments late in the quarter. Score: Tied 14-14.
